APEX SUMMER CAMP
APEX FAQs
Is camp open to non-church members?
Yes. Students do not have to be members of a church to attend APEX.
However, students must register through one of the participating churches. When registering, choose:
• The church your student regularly attends, or
• The church your student was invited by a friend to attend with
Each church handles transportation, small groups, and some camp expectations differently. If you have questions about those details, your church’s student pastor will be your best point of contact.
Is there a dress code?
Dress code expectations are primarily set and enforced by each individual church attending APEX.
APEX itself does not enforce specific dress code rules, but:
• Cover-ups must be worn when outside of the pool area
• Modesty and appropriate attire are expected throughout the week
Your church’s student pastor will communicate any additional dress code expectations for their group, and adult leaders will help enforce those guidelines.
How are sleeping arrangements assigned?
Sleeping arrangements are assigned the week before APEX and communicated to each church’s student pastor.
In general:
• Cabins are separated by gender
• Students typically stay with others from their church
• Churches may share cabins depending on group size
• Churches are rarely split apart unless necessary
Final cabin assignments and details will be handled and communicated by your church’s student pastor.
Can dietary allergies or restrictions be accommodated?
Yes. APEX can accommodate dietary allergies and restrictions.
If your student has dietary needs:
• Please notify your church’s student pastor during registration
• The church will communicate those needs to the APEX team
We work carefully to ensure students with dietary restrictions are properly accommodated throughout the week.
What if my child takes medication?
All medication must be turned in to the camp nurse for the duration of APEX.
When checking in with your church on the Monday morning of APEX:
• You will complete a medication form
• All medication must be turned in at that time
• The camp nurse will administer medication as directed
This is a state requirement for summer camps, and helps ensure medications are taken safely and consistently throughout the week.
